Frequently Asked Questions About Ordering Foreign Currency
Most Sterling and US Dollar Click & Collect orders are ready within one business day. Other currencies may need to be ordered, so foreign exchange orders may take up to 4 business days. You’ll receive an email notification when your currency order is ready for collection.
Your Click & Collect order will be held for up to 2 days after you receive an email confirming your foreign exchange order is ready for collection. If you’re unable to collect within this time, we can no longer guarantee the currency order and exchange rate.
You can order foreign currency online up to €2,500. For orders over €2,500, please call us at 0818 253 411. Note: There’s no minimum foreign exchange order for Click & Collect.
The store opening hours are included in your confirmation email. Alternatively, use our store locator to check the hours of your chosen Credit Union collection point. Please note that opening hours may vary on bank holidays.
To collect your foreign cash, bring the following to your chosen Credit Union or store:
– Order confirmation email: On your phone or printed.
– Payment method: Most of our stores accept both cash and card. Please check your order confirmation email for more information.
– Proof of identity: Passport or driving licence.
– Proof of address: Utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 6 months.
No, the person paying must use their own credit or debit card and provide matching ID to complete the foreign exchange order.
If you no longer need your currency order, please call the Credit Union or agent directly. The phone number can be found in the confirmation receipt or on our website.
To order foreign currency online, simply visit our website, select your currency, and choose a Click & Collect option at your nearest participating Credit Union or store. You’ll secure today’s exchange rate and can pay when you collect.
If we don’t have your currency order available at your selected collection point, we can order foreign currency for you. Just let us know, and we’ll arrange a convenient time for collection once your foreign exchange order arrives.
While most currencies are available for immediate collection, certain currencies may require a foreign exchange order to be placed. We’ll notify you by email when your currency order is ready for collection.
